About Us

We became custodians of Fordwater B&B in June 2015, escaping Berkshire for the Devon idyll. A house of this age owns you not the other way around :) we feel priviledged to manage its quirks and try and reveal its history. The land too has a life of its own and time has flown past and we still do not know what to do with it! It has become our own private nature reserve! We hope our guests will love Fordwater as we do, wonky floors walls and ceilings and the odd crack or 3. We are not career hospitality people just a couple wishing to provide comfortable laid back breaks in Devon. Maybe our USP is a late breakfast as we enjoy a lie in too!
