Fordwater B&B is situated on the A358 3 miles South of Chard and 2.5 miles north of Axminster approx.  Anyone wishing to tour the area would be advised to have a car as we are situasted out of town.  There are taxi services available locally.

Directions by car

From London/South East

Take the M3 south exiting onto the A303 just past Basingstoke.

Exit onto the A358 just past Ilminster, road is signposted Donyatt.

Continue through Donyatt, Chard, Tatworth and Tytherleigh.

As the road dips Fordwater B&B can be seen on the left where 'SLOW' is on the road.

If you over shoot continue to 'Buffers' model shop just up the hill where it is safe to turn around.

From the West/North

Take the M5 to Taunton then exit onto the A358 south to Donyatt roundabout.

Directions as above.

Please note sat navs may try exiting the A303 in the Crewkerne direction, best to ignore this. Post code entry can try and direct you to Fordwater Farm which is a different property beyond to the south.

From the South

Take the A358 through Axminster heading north.

Pass over Weycroft Bridge.

Fordwater will be found on the right over the bridge over the River Kit after 2 miles approx after signs for Waggs Plot.

By Train

Take a train to Axminster station. Taxis are available outside, simply ask for Fordwater B&B on the Chard Road just before Tytherleigh main village. Drivers may be familiar with the thatched building in the valley on the right after Buffers model shop.
